Michael Clayton (4/5)

The opening scene is brilliantly executed, the end credits as well. Making the villain an actual person who sweats and faints also made for interesting cinema. I will have to see Duplicity against the advice of two favorite critics to see if this writer/director got lucky here; I hope not, I do fancy the writer/director species.

Wondering, why do you fancy the writer/dir?

cause I liked this film and he wrote and directed it.

Right, but you said the species, as in all writ/dir you fancy. I often thought that, but looking at my favorite directors of all time, they are rarely writers of their films. I’m thinking Scorsese, Hitch, Ford, Peck, Boll.

ya, I figured, I was just testing how dim I could make you believe.
my like of the writer/director isn’t at the expense of those who don’t wear both hats, I just fancy when the same mind that dreamed up the story is allowed the opportunity to bring it to life. I like to pretend myself to be a writer/producer of music.

Fell right into. Just like M’F’ Saigon! Plus, I thought you’d enjoy the Uwe reference. We’re way behind on his oeuvre.
