  I wonder if this film/story is the same as “A Midnight Clear” from 1992. I guess there are quite a few anecdotes of enemies “making friends” with their combatants- especially around Christmas. but i guess midnight clear is WWII not WWI

  I haven’t seen midnight clear in about ten years- but it blew me away- I’ll have to check out “merry christmas”- (Joyeux Noël, right?)
