A most dreadful romantic comedy that accomplished the exact opposite of the filmmaker’s intention: I wanted to see the couple die fiery deaths, and do so very alone. Credit for putting the camera on a tripod and lighting cathedrals competently–and for one delicious Hugh Grant crack that must be the biggest foot-in-mouth ever.
